In 1972, the Dodge Challenger Rallye was promoted in this brochure as a ‘ … well proportioned balance between acceleration, road-holding, braking … ‘ instead of the record breaking muscle car from earlier years. 1972 was the time when car manufacturers emphasized safety and moderate performance.
The brochure quotes: “About as quick in the legal range as anything its size. And a lot more thoughtfully done.”
