More Australian Holden Utes in the USA

Just as GM Australia has closed it’s vehicle manufacturing plant, (that’s right, no more Australian made Holden’s, no Aussie GTOs, no Chev SS, and no more Utes), we’ve discovered two more Australian Holden Utes in the USA.

These two Aussie battlers were found in the depths of SEMA Show 2017 in Las Vegas. Both are fully setup for drifting, one mostly in original form but with a GTO firewall conversion for left hand drive setup, the other is still right hand drive, but it’s a frame-up build.

Original Aussie Ute body is fully intact except for left hand drive parts from a GTO and the nitros bottles perhaps set for weight distribution

StreetFighter, LA was imported from Australia and the firewall was swapped from a GTO, the same firewall only reversed for left hand drive. See the whole process in the video below …

The Hoonigan Tri-Ace sponsored Aussie ute is still right hand drive, but this Holden is fully rebuilt and lightweight

Carbon fiber body parts and a full race frame make this a dedicated lightweight drifter. The layout is still right hand drive, but she has 1,000 hp to lift it off the ground and float like a hovercraft.
